About this font
While Adelle is a slab serif typeface conceived specifically for intensive editorial use, mainly in newspapers and magazines, its personality and flexibility make it a real multiple-purpose typeface. The unobtrusive appearance, excellent texture and slightly dark color allow it to behave flawlessly in continuous text setting, even in the most demanding editorial applications. Its energetic character, so inherent to slab serif fonts, becomes evident as the typeface is used for subheadings and headlines.
In 2006 Veronika Burian and José Scaglione established TypeTogether with the express purpose of creating innovative and stylish solutions to the greatest problems in the global, professional typography market. The foundry focuses on text typography for intensive editorial use, both digital and in print. TypeTogether also partners with discerning clients worldwide to create custom tailored fonts for their specific needs across all communication forms: branding, devices, websites, magazines, newspapers, and more. <br /> TypeTogether’s internationally awarded catalogue — honored for its high quality, usefulness, personality, and ability to grab attention — spans many languages and scripts and is diligently expanding each year.
About this font
Mitja Miklavčič drew FF Tisa to meet the technological and aesthetic requirements of modern magazine use. His goal was to develop a softer, more dynamic version of a nineteenth-century slab serif wood type. A large x-height and pronounced serifs make FF Tisa extremely legible in text sizes and its unique design details and a fairly upright italic become evident in display applications. The typeface was selected by the TDC judges for a Certificate of Excellence in Type Design in 2007.
