Akira Naito 内藤晶

Born in Osaka. Began studying calligraphy at age 7. After graduating from the Graphic Design course at Osaka University of Arts, worked at a printing company and design studio before becoming a freelance designer. Alongside advertising design work, began creating art using original calligraphy, and through exhibitions and art events, received several corporate awards and began receiving commissions for brush lettering design and calligraphy work. Pursues calligraphy as both artistic form from a designer’s perspective and as a communication tool. Latest work is “Tactile Three-Dimensional Pictographic Calligraphy.”
