Felipe Casaprima

Felipe Casaprima (Rio de Janeiro, 1991) is a type designer and font engineer with a background in programming. Since 2013, he has focused on creating his own typefaces while developing production tools to automate tasks, streamline workflows, and build color fonts. As a font engineer, he also collaborates with other designers to produce technically robust typefaces and variable fonts.

He developed his type design skills at the Coppers and Brasses and gained branding experience at Plau before joining forces with Álvaro in 2019 at Naipe. His unique combination of design and programming expertise allows him to solve complex technical challenges and push the foundry’s capabilities forward, creating distinctive typographic solutions that elevate client brands and shorten timelines.
