Jelle Bosma
Jelle Bosma (b. Rijswijk, The Netherlands, 1959) studied at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. He joined Agfa Monotype in 1992, after working as a type designer for Scangraphic near Hamburg, Germany. A unique combination of graphic design, type design, and computer programming skills enabled him to be involved in many different aspects of type projects. Many of these projects have involved non-Western fonts, allowing Jelle to expand his lettering horizon beyond “A to Z”. In 2004, he designed Cambria for Microsoft’s ClearType project.
