Krista Radoeva

Krista is a Contrast Foundry type designer hailing from Sofia, Bulgaria. With a specialization in fonts encompassing Latin, Cyrillic, and Greek scripts, Krista’s recent endeavors primarily revolve around crafting custom typefaces, many of which remain confidential.
Having spent five years as part of Fontsmith in London, Krista transitioned to freelancing at the start of 2020. Since then, she has collaborated with various international foundries and design agencies while also dedicating her time to teaching Cyrillic and laying the groundwork for her own studio.
Krista’s educational journey is a testament to her unwavering passion for type design. She holds a BA in Graphic Design from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London and an MA in Type and Media from the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. Her notebooks are filled with countless sketches, a reflection of her dedication and creativity in crafting intricately decorative letterforms.
