Libbie Bischoff

Libbie Bischoff is a Minneapolis-based type designer, graphic designer, and educator. She holds a BFA in Graphic Design from University of Wisconsin-Stout and completed the Letterform Archive’s postgraduate program, Type West, in 2020. Since graduating, she has opened her own type foundry, Type Du Nord. Her type design practice revolves around reviving old typography and making original fonts with playfulness and whimsy. Alongside her type work, Bischoff teaches beginner and intermediate type design classes through Type Electives. Her classes are centered around making type design accessible, financially and geographically, to a global pool of students. Throughout her career, Bischoff has worked with brands such as Nature Valley, Gushers, and Docusign. In her free time, she has lots of creative hobbies like knitting, sewing, and painting.
