Stanley Morison

Stanley Morison (1889-1967) was a typographer and a historian of printing. He worked as an advisor to the British Monotype Corporation for over 40 years and was influential in its development of new typefaces, as well as the revival of historical types.

He is known for his design of Times New Roman, later called the most successful new typeface of the first half of the 20th century.
