Takeharu Suzuki
The fonts created by the late Takeharu Suzuki were developed based on his extensive experience, ranging from lettering to bitmap fonts, word processor fonts, and brush script fonts. In particular, he pursued a ‘stress-free gothic typeface for horizontal text,’ which led to the development of the highly readable design of the standard Windows font, Meiryo.
The diversity of his typeface designs extends not only to warm, handwritten brush script typefaces and basic typefaces, but also broadly to Gothic, stylized and display typefaces. His typefaces can be used for a wide range of applications, including advertisements, videos, and digital media. They provide a sense of originality and are beloved by many.
