Yanghee Ryu

Yanghee Ryu is an independent type designer specializing in Hangeul. She studied visual communication design at the Hongik University in Seoul and graduated from the MA program in Typeface Design at the University of Reading in 2017. She has released Gowun-Hangeul( 2010) and Dongle-Hangeul (2011) in Korea, and participated in the Arita-Buri typeface development project (2012-2013) as a senior type designer. Recently she has completed Ottogi Sans development project (2021) for a Korean food company.

One of her interests include multi-script type design for development of Hangeul typefaces harmonized with other scripts. Yanghee currently is based in Cambridge, UK.
