Aaber (from Aaber Sabeel, Arabic for “Wayfarer”) is an Arabic display font inspired by ancient engravings left by an unknown wayfarer on the ruins of Khalid al‑Qasri’s palace near Baghdad. The Aaber typeface consists of two weights; Regular and Bold. Its distinctive structure makes it suitable for modern design applications across web, print, and mobile interfaces.
Mostafa El Abasiry is an independent Arabic type designer whose work has helped define a new era of expressive Arabic typography. Since 2009, he has built a distinctive and influential catalogue of Arabic typefaces known for their bold geometry, modern aesthetics, and emotionally resonant visual character. His designs are widely recognized for merging the structural clarity of geometric construction with the creative freedom of contemporary display typography.
