Type-Ø-Tones logo

Type-Ø-Tones was founded in 1990 by Joan Barjau, Enric Jardí, Laura Meseguer, and José Manuel Urós. According to typography writer Jan Middendorp, Type-Ø-Tones is a loose-knit collective of independent artists, each with their own activities as designers, writers, and teachers. Publishing fonts since the early days of desktop type design, their typefaces represent an approach that is simultaneously adventurous and serious, witty and well-conceived.
