About Beastly

Beastly was the custom typeface designed for the Lubalin 100 project. While it imbues many of the qualities of Lubalin’s team of lettering artists’ signature styles, it’s a completely new design. Beastly comes in nine optical sizes so you can use it at many different scales.

Ohno was birthed in 2015 by James Edmondson, from a deep appreciation for lively typefaces, and simultaneous dissatisfaction and amazement at the current type design landscape. The goal has always been to create quality work that highlights under-appreciated genres, and respects history without reinventing the wheel. Good spacing reigns supreme.
