FOT-TsukuBRdGothic Std is distinctly different from ordinary round gothic (rounded sans-serif) typefaces. It’s a round gothic (sans-serif) typeface with a modern feel. However, unlike many other modern designs, which have larger counter spaces, FOT-TsukuBRdGothic Std has tightened, smaller counter spaces. Its kanji (ideographic) characters have strokes with rounded edges and smooth curves, instead of geometric shapes and straight lines, giving a warm feeling. Its kana syllabic characters are designed with the Old-style in mind and use an Egyptian-based design for alphanumeric characters. Using FOT-TsukuBRdGothic Std, you can get especially good typeset results.
(The character “A” or “B” in each font name indicates a different design of kana characters. The kanji and other characters are shared commonly by both types of fonts.)
