Wood Type Revival is discovering and preserving historic wood type, faithfully converting it into digital fonts for modern designers. All of the Wood Type Revival fonts are created from hand-set letterpress prints of the original 19th century wood type. Wood Type Revival is the result of the successful Kickstarter project of letterpress printers and Bearded designers Matt Griffin and Matt Braun. Together they are working to enrich the modern typographic landscape by reintroducing forgotten faces to a digital world.
