Lao UI is a typeface designed for typesetting the Lao language in the Lao script. The Lao script (Akson Lao) is the primary script used to write the Lao language and minority languages in Laos. Lao UI is a modern Lao typeface in an upright style with fluid shapes and very little contrast between thick and thin strokes. It is designed to be especially legible onscreen.
Lao UI has two weights, Regular and Bold, with no italic styles. The font includes capitals and lowercase letters for the Latin alphabet, derived from the Segoe typeface.
