Ligurino is a quiet, open sans serif built for information that should be easy to approach. Its uncluttered forms and gentle proportions make room for headings, short passages, labels, and public-facing instructions without imposing a strong period or technology theme. Regular, Italic, Bold, and Condensed give a small but useful range: bold can establish a route or section; italic can mark a quotation or note; condensed can fit a narrow heading. An alternate, more austere Q offers a subtle adjustment when a wordmark or prominent title calls for it. The face works especially well when clarity itself is the identity.
Typodermic Fonts is the independent type foundry of Canadian designer Ray Larabie, based in Nagoya, Japan. Founded in 2001, the foundry explores a broad range of lettering: futuristic display faces, vintage-inspired designs, practical text families, and unconventional experiments with shape and texture.
The collection draws on everything from industrial markings and electronic equipment to painted signs, printed ephemera, and popular culture. Some typefaces bring a specific era or atmosphere to a headline; others give an identity, publication, or interface a distinctive everyday voice. Across that range, Typodermic focuses on letterforms with recognizable character and a clear purpose in a design.
