Than is a concealed looped typeface that has a low contrast. It is designed with the framework of both Thai and Latin characters, and is inspired by Transitional Latin characters. The serifs are made shorter, to be used more harmoniously with Thai characters and reduce confusion pairs such as koKai-thai (ก) or thoThung-thai (ถ). When Latin’s serif are applied onto Thai characters, the serifs became a concealed looped style. As a result, Than is suited for longer usage in Display contexts.
