Shigenobu Fujita

Shigenobu Fujita was born in Fukuoka in 1957. He joined the typeface division of Shaken, a phototypesetting machine manufacture in 1975, and joined Fontworks in 1998. Fujita has developed various typefaces including the Tsukushi typeface families. In 2020, his Tsukushi Old Mincho and Tsukushi Maru Gothic won the Tokyo TDC 2010 Award. In 2016, Fontworks’ UD fonts won the IAUD 2016 Silver Award and Fujita appeared in NHK’s TV program entitled “The Professionals”. In 2018, Fujita received the Tokyo TDC 2018 Type Design Award.
