Zvi Narkiss
Zvi Narkiss (1921 -2010) was a well-known Hebrew type designer and typographer. A native of Romania, moved to Israel in 1944 and dedicated his entire adult life to Hebrew letters. Narkiss graduated from the Bezalel school of the arts shortly after he immigrated to Israel. In 1955 he opened a graphic design and typography studio, where he worked for more than 50 years designing typefaces, books, exhibitions, stamps, paper currency, coins, posters, and symbols. The fonts he developed throughout his professional career, became of the most widespread Hebrew fonts.
