This typeface is based on the calligraphic style of Yán Zhēn Qīng who was active in the Tang dynasty in China. His style is very popular in China today. It features strong and dynamic brushstrokes, known as “silk worm head” and “swallowtail”. The square style typeface was designed to highlight Yan Zhen Qing’s idiosyncratic style – characters with rounded upper parts, strong brushstrokes, and a wide range of varying shapes.
With over 60 years of experience in calligraphy, Calligrapher Hakushu Nakamoto has created brush script fonts with beautiful and skillfully handwritten letter forms. He works as a professional calligrapher, offering custom services to meet a variety of client needs. By using Nakamoto’s designs, you will become more familiar with the art of traditional calligraphy.
