As the flagship of the Shueitai typeface family, DNP Shuei ShogoMincho distills the family’s attractive essence. Though more than 100-years have passed since its completion, many users still love this typeface today. It is characterized by the dynamic, strong motion of the strokes of its kanji characters, and kana characters that give a sense of speed. The typeface is suitable for display lines in larger type sizes. Referencing specimen books from the time the typeface was completed, DNP Shuei ShogoMincho was designed to revive not only the typeface’s strength but also its freewheeling richness.
