Takanewline Kaku features a distinctive form and clear lines. For the kanji characters, it employs bold simplification and omission, while maintaining readability, to create unique glyph shapes. Subtle variations in line length add character and achieve an exquisite balance. While the base typeface, Taka-Line, features hané (flicks) on vertical strokes in some instances, this version opts for a simpler design without them. Additionally, certain bold simplifications found in Taka-Line have been adjusted. A rounded version is also available as part of the family.
Taka Design Production are a collection of distinctive characters created by type designer Shinichi Takahara.
Each typeface is imbued with a human touch, offering the charm and warmth of hand-lettering. This quality lies at the heart of Takahara’s creative process and remains the consistent theme he has pursued throughout his career.
Let Taka Design help your wonderful expressions bloom in full splendor.
